Recreation SA is excited to announce TAFE SA has signed on to be the major sponsor of #Recre8SA social media campaign.

The campaign encourages the public to participate in recreational activities.

When the campaign kicks off in September, participants who share images of themselves participating in their favourite activity on social media, accompanied with #Recre8SA, will be randomly selected to win monthly prizes.

Belgravia Leisure has also become a supporter of the #Recre8SA campaign.

Recreation SA executive officer Rebecca Deans was delighted to welcome TAFE SA, who offer on-line, face-to-face, full time and part time study options for courses in Fitness, Sport and Outdoor Recreation.

Mrs Deans said it was a significant partnership.

“It is a strong show of support for the recreation industry that TAFE SA is investing in the Recreation SA’s new campaign,” Mrs Deans said.

“We’re pleased such a large organisation such as TAFE SA is prepared to invest back into community.

“It’s a good fit for both organisations as Recreation SA and TAFE SA share similar values and are closely aligned.”

She said TAFE SA’s support would enhance the success of the campaign.

Lee Maglica, TAFE SA Educational Manager at the Centre for Fitness, Sport, Recreation & Tourism, Complementary Health and First Aid, said it was a critical alliance because both organisations aimed to get more people involved in active recreation.

“TAFE SA not only supports the #Recre8SA campaign, but continually supports our graduates who are sought after leaders within the recreation industry,” Ms Maglica said.

She said the partnership would benefit SA’s recreation sector.

“TAFE SA’s Centre for Fitness, Sport, Recreation and Tourism program unit aims to provide highly skilled, trained and qualified staff to our related industry sectors. TAFE SA’s direct engagement with Recreation SA, as the peak industry body in our State, provides opportunity to have close links with the industry sectors that we service.”

Mrs Deans also announced Belgravia Leisure had come aboard as a supporter of the #Recre8SA campaign.

Belgravia Leisure is at the forefront of leisure, sports and golf management throughout Australia.

“It’s wonderful that Belgravia Leisure, an organisation that employs so many people in the recreation industry in South Australia, is supporting SA’s recreation peak body and our innovative marketing campaign,” Mrs Deans said.

“We are pleased that there is commercial support for recreation activities in this state and that a well-regarded national business like Belgravia Leisure prioritises the importance of South Australians becoming more physically active.”

Belgravia Leisure regional manager Catherine Foreman said Belgravia Leisure saw its purpose as “Connecting Community to Leisure”.

“We see the #Recre8SA campaign as working in a direct correlation to this purpose,” Ms Foreman said.

“The benefit for community members will be the streamlined approach, through the #Recre8SA, to find local recreation opportunities and become involved in the many and varied opportunities available.”
