Recreation SA is calling for nominations for its prestigious annual awards.

Each year the awards honour individuals and organisations making an outstanding contribution to the recreation industry in South Australia.

Do you know of committed professional who has dedicated significant time and effort to improving active recreation in the State and you would like to see them rewarded?

Do you know of an organisation that has made a real difference to encouraging greater recreation participation across the whole community?

Do you want to recognise a Watch Around Water-registered centre delivering the safety program’s key messages to a maximum audience within its local and extended community?

The awards are open to all Recreation SA members.

They will be presented at a ceremony at the 2016 Recreation SA PLA Conference on April 11, at Next Generation Memorial Drive.

Nominations for the following three awards must be received by March 10, 2016.

For more information about the nomination process please contact Recreation SA.

The Recreation Industry Professional of the Year:

The 2016 South Australian Recreation Industry Professional of the Year is coordinated by Recreation SA to recognise and reward individuals who have made a significant contribution to the recreation industry in South Australia.

The Watch Around Water award:

Recreation SA and Nine Adelaide coordinate the Watch Around Water – Nine Adelaide Community Innovation Award across the 15/16 swimming season. Registered Watch Around Water centres are eligible for participation.

The award initiative serves to encourage registered centres to promote the Watch Around Water safety messages beyond the marketing tools that are provided by Recreation SA.

Recreation SA and Nine Adelaide are looking for creativity and innovation in delivering the key messages to a maximum audience within each registered centre’s local and extended community.

Pools are encouraged to utilise the #WatchAroundWater hash tag and encourage pool visitors to do the same.
